The draw for the last sixteen stage of the UEFA Europa League was made on Friday, 28. February 2016, in Nyon. FC Basel 1893 will face Sevilla FC. The first leg will kick off in Basel, on 10. March 2016, 7pm and the 2nd leg is scheduled a week later, in Spain, 9.05pm.

FCB and Sevilla FC have never met before in their club history. On 10. March 2016, at St. Jakob Park in Basel and on 17. March 2016, at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán (capacity: 45´000 seats), in Spain, FCB will face a club with a great deal of history and international success: Sevilla FC have been very successful in the Europa League (UEFA Cup).
