On Thursday morning, FCB started work in preparation for the upcoming season. On Monday, Alexander Fransson, Adama Traoré and Luca Zuffi will join the team. These players were granted a few extra days off as they were engaged with their national teams. Derek Kutesa, Andraz Sporar and Renato Steffen are still recovering from injury and therefore will be training on an individual basis, Urs Fischer has decided to introduce a few youth team players to his pre-season training sessions. Basel welcomed two new players and one familiar face; Veljko Simic, who played for Schaffhausen on loan, goalkeeper Djordje Nikolic and the Egyptian defender Omar Gaber.

On Friday, Urs Fischer will be leading two more training sessions and on Saturday FCB´s 1st team will be training in FCB´s stadium, St. Jakob-Park.
