FC Basel 1893 start the 2018/2019 season with a new goalkeeper; Jonas Omlin. The 24 year-old Swiss national made the move from FC Luzern on a four year deal until 2022.
Jonas Omlin has transferred from FC Luzern where he was their number one keeper for the 2016/2017 season and played a total of 51 Super-League fixtures. Omlin is 1.89m tall, comes from “Sarnen” and visited FC Luzern´s youth academy. In 2012/2013 Basel´s new keeper signed to SC Kriens (Promotion League) then moved to FC Le Mont LS (Challenge League) for half a year, where he gathered more experience, before returning to FC Luzern´s 1st team.
Omlin: „I am happy to have accepted this new challenge. This move to Basel is a big step for me and makes me very proud to be a part of this team”.
Jonas Omlin will have number 21 on his back- Training starts on the 14th of June 2018 where he will meet his team mates.
