FCB-U21 player Jan Muzangu will play in India with immediate effect. The 19-year-old midfielder signed a contract with Chennai City FC until summer 2020.
With Jan Muzangu joining CCFC, the partnership between FC Basel 1893 and Chennai City FC is beginning to bear fruit. Muzangu had joined the FCB-U18s from FC Concordia Basel in the 2017/2018 season and subsequently moved up to the FCB-U21s in the summer of 2018. In India he will be able to pursue his dream of becoming a professional footballer, combined with an exciting life experience and personal development outside his familiar surroundings.
„Chennai City FC offers Jan the opportunity to continue his footballing career in India. I'm convinced that a player like Jan can certainly develop further here.
